Privacy Policy - Aion Alarms

Aion Alarms deeply values your personal privacy. This document outlines with complete transparency how device permissions and local data are handled.
1. Calendar Access (Sensitive Permission)
The application requests READ_CALENDAR permission solely for 'Smart Rules' evaluation: checking for events matching specific keywords (e.g. 'Holiday' or 'Leave') to toggle alarms automatically. All processing is strictly confined to on-device memory. Aion Alarms NEVER transmits or shares your calendar records with remote servers.
2. Accessibility Service (Auto-Lock)
The app utilises the AccessibilityService API solely for the 'Auto-Lock' feature, programmatically locking the screen (GLOBAL_ACTION_LOCK_SCREEN) after snoozing to prevent unintentional mobile interactions. This service NEVER inspects on-screen content or keypresses.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
We use Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial ads. AdMob may process device identifiers (Advertising ID) and coarse location to serve contextual ads, governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Crash Diagnostics & Stability
We use Google Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics to aggregate anonymised crash reports and app health metrics, purely to identify stability defects. These metrics are not linked to your personal identity.
5. In-App Purchases
Optional Lifetime Pro upgrades are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing. Aion Alarms does not store or access banking details or credit card information on independent servers.
6. Local Data Persistence
Aion Alarms utilises a local Room database on your mobile device. There is zero remote cloud synchronisation. All custom shift rules and alarms remain exclusively within device memory.
7. System Level Permissions
We utilise SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW and USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT to ensure the alarm screen displays reliably over other applications even when the device is locked. POST_NOTIFICATIONS is used for timely notifications.
8. AI Assistant Integration (Google NotebookLM)
The app provides direct access to Google NotebookLM as an external shift assistance utility. By using this optional tool, you acknowledge that it is operated by Google under Google's Privacy Policy, and Aion Alarms shares no automated personal profile data with it.
