Privacy Policy - Aion Alarms

Aion Alarms deeply respects your privacy. This policy details transparently how we handle sensitive permissions and data on your device.
1. Calendar Data (Sensitive Permission)
The app requests READ_CALENDAR permission exclusively for 'Smart Rules' logic: checking for events with specific keywords (e.g., 'Vacation') to automatically toggle alarms. All processing is performed locally on your device. Aion Alarms NEVER uploads, transmits, or shares your calendar data with external servers.
2. Accessibility Service (Auto-Lock)
The app uses the AccessibilityService API solely to execute the global action of locking the screen (GLOBAL_ACTION_LOCK_SCREEN) when you snooze or dismiss an alarm, making it easier to turn off without physical buttons. We do not monitor the screen, read keystrokes, or collect any user data through this service.
3. Advertising (AdMob)
We use Google AdMob to display ads (Banners, Interstitials). AdMob may collect device identifiers (Advertising ID) and approximate location data to personalize advertising, in accordance with their own privacy policies. This data is processed by Google and not by us directly.
4. Analytics and Usage Data
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous metrics on application performance (e.g., errors, crashes, most used features) solely to improve stability and user experience. This data is not linked to your personal identity.
5. In-App Purchases
The application offers paid products or subscriptions ('Pro' version) processed entirely through the Google Play Billing platform. Aion Alarms does NOT collect, transmit, or store sensitive financial information (such as credit card numbers) on its own servers. All transactions are securely managed by Google.
6. Data Storage
Aion Alarms uses local storage (Room Database) for its preferences. There is no cloud synchronization of our own. All your alarms, settings, and preferences are stored strictly in your device's internal memory.
7. Other System Permissions
We use SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW and USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT to show the alarm screen over other apps, and POST_NOTIFICATIONS for important alerts. These permissions are strictly functional.
8. External AI Assistant (Aion Brain)
The application provides access to 'Google NotebookLM' as an external support tool. By using this feature, you acknowledge that: (1) It is a third-party service managed by Google, not Aion Alarms. (2) Aion Alarms does not automatically share any personal or usage data with this AI. (3) You are solely responsible for any information you choose to share in that chat. (4) AI responses may not be accurate; always verify important information. Use of this tool is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
